Join our team and play an important role in supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations while helping deliver products that reach tables across the country. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will prepare slurry batches, operate cook pots and kettles, monitor product quality and consistency, and support safe, efficient production operations. You will ensure recipes are followed accurately, maintain equipment cleanliness, and help deliver high-quality products while supporting food safety and manufacturing standards. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Obtain work schedules, gather necessary supplies, and prepare equipment for production operations. Assemble cleaned machine parts and prepare assigned cook pots for operation. Start slurry batches using computer controls and production recipes. Set cook pot controls, adjust valves and steam systems, and operate agitators to begin production cycles. Add starch, flavorings, spices, and hot water according to established recipes. Monitor slurry production and transfer finished product to holding tanks. Clean production lines and equipment between batches and as required. Load ingredients into kettles and monitor cooking processes. Weigh and add spice oils and transfer slurry from holding tanks to kettles. Evaluate samples, adjust machine controls, and verify product consistency. Complete Bostwick consistency checks and submit samples to Quality Control. Transfer finished product to production lines. Disassemble, clean, and sanitize equipment at the end of production runs or shifts. Cross-train in other production areas as assigned. Follow all company safety policies and procedures and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, including proper waste disposal, attire, grooming, and hygiene standards. Follow 5S and Lock Out/Tag Out requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Lead by example and support teamwork across the plant. Perform other duties as assigned. Ingredients Required for Your Success Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills. Complete required production documentation accurately and timely. Take ownership of personal safety and support the safety and well-being of team members. Be a motivated team player who works effectively in a manufacturing environment. Follow recipes, production specifications, and quality standards. Understand and comply with safety, food safety, sanitation, and operational procedures. High school diploma or GED preferred. Physical Requirements More information on the essential tasks and facility will be shared during the hiring process. Please be aware that in a manufacturing environment, the noise levels can be high and the temperatures may vary. Depending on the role, physical and environmental requirements can differ but include: Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.
