Job Description

We're searching for a breakfast cook who will work with our head cook/chef to prep a variety of foods and stock food stations with ingredients and condiments. You'll be responsible for keeping all food stations and equipment neat, clean, and sanitized. You must read recipe directions in English and operate kitchen equipment, including sharp knives and measuring tools. Expect some lifting, bending, and standing on your feet during your shift, as well as the ability to take on other duties as needed. Compensation:
$16 - $17 hourly
Responsibilities:
Keep all prep and workstation areas organized and equipment hygienic and sanitized at closing Wash, sort, prep, slice, and measure ingredients for recipes, using condiments, vegetables, and proteins, and mixing sauces for use in various meals Observe all company-required food safety guidelines and protocols in the areas where food is prepared and kitchen equipment is utilized Understand recipe instructions, measurements, meal charts, and labels written in English and use all measuring tools properly Handle simple cooking tasks such as brewing coffee or tea, preparing soups and reducing sauces, and assisting others in the kitchen when necessary
Qualifications:
Experienced in the proper handling of kitchen equipment, sharp knives, and other kitchen tools Should be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time and also bend, pull, and lift 35-50 pounds Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays and be willing to pitch in working extra hours at the supervisor's request You have the basic skills necessary to prep food for a chef/cook with minimal supervision expected We'd prefer it if you have an associate's degree (AA), or equivalent, but it's not required for the job About Company Founded in 2005, Rolling Hills Hospitality operates 19 hotel properties with a central focus on exceeding the expectations of its guests.
