Culinary Background Preferred Join Our Academy Dining Team! We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team at a busy academy school dining program . The ideal candidate will have professional cooking experience, a culinary background, and a passion for preparing fresh, nutritious, and high-quality meals for students, athletes, staff, and guests. Position Responsibilities Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special event meals Follow standardized recipes while maintaining quality, flavor, and presentation Prepare large-volume meals for students and student-athletes Assist with menu preparation, food production, and daily kitchen operations Maintain proper portion control and minimize food waste Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures Properly store, label, and rotate food products Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Assist with catering, athletic events, and special functions Work closely with other cooks and dining staff to ensure timely meal service Qualifications Previous professional cooking experience required Culinary education, culinary degree, or professional culinary training preferred Experience with high-volume food production is a plus Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced school dining environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who takes pride in their cooking and understands the importance of providing nutritious, flavorful, and well-prepared meals to students and athletes.
