Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and fryers Follow food safety protocols and handle ingredients with care to ensure cleanliness and hygiene Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance and maintaining proper portion control Maintain a clean and organized work station by adhering to cleaning schedules and sanitation standards Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and timing Support food handling procedures during meal prep, plating, and service to ensure quality standards are met Qualifications Previous experience in a food service environment or restaurant setting is highly preferred Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food handling practices Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within the kitchen team Familiarity with culinary techniques, menu planning, and catering operations is advantageous Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a real impact! $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
