Duties Assist with meal preparation, including slicing, chopping, and cooking using various kitchen equipment Follow recipes precisely to ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment regularly Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary best practices Operate kitchen appliances safely and efficiently in accordance with safety standards in production Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and service times Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and safety regulations during all stages of meal production Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or food service settings is highly desirable Strong culinary skills including knife techniques, slicing methods, and cooking fundamentals Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and support team efforts Previous restaurant or catering experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential Embark on a rewarding journey where your culinary talents help serve our community with passion!
