Your meals directly support the comfort and recovery of our patients. Your Role As a Cook at Assurance Health, you will: Prepare and serve all meals according to established menus and physician diet orders. Ensure food is cooked safely, attractively, and on schedule for patient and staff meals. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency and quality. Conduct taste and temperature checks to ensure food safety and satisfaction. Properly store leftovers and minimize waste per health department standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in food prep, serving, and storage areas. Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and ordering as needed. Review diet changes daily to ensure accurate meal preparation. Support and help train new dietary staff as directed. Follow all sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures. Qualifications Previous experience as a Cook in a healthcare or institutional setting required. Knowledge of safe food-handling practices and dietary restrictions. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.
