The Black Oak Public House is a new food, spirits, and live music venue opening in Wooster, Ohio, and we're building our kitchen team from the ground up. We're looking for Prep Cooks who want to be part of a scratch kitchen from day one. What you'll do:

Prep Cooks:

prepare batch recipes, proteins, and mise en place to spec ahead of service Follow standardized recipes and portioning to keep quality consistent shift to shift Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen in line with health code standards Communicate clearly with kitchen and front of house teams during service What we're looking for: Prior kitchen experience preferred (line cook or prep cook), but we'll train the right attitude Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and a team player Food handler certification a plus (or willingness to obtain one) Availability to include evenings, weekends, and some holidays What we offer: Competitive pay based on experience A brand-new kitchen and a chance to help shape the culture from opening day A scratch-built menu you can take pride in Growth opportunities as we open The Black Oak Public House — food, spirits, and live music in Wooster, Ohio. to join our opening kitchen team.
