THE JOB:
As a Master Sushi Cook, you will be responsible for food preparation directed by Chef. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
THE STARTING RATE
$30.7546/hr
THE DAY-TO-DAY
Follow approved methods of food preparation, cooking, portion sizing, sauce preparation, and garnishing as instructed by the Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and/or Sous Chef. Set up assigned workstations according to established pars and station setup sheets. Operate assigned stations independently or as part of a team. Evaluate prepared food before service to ensure proper quality, flavor, temperature, and appearance. Support the Customer Relations Management system by ensuring all orders are prepared accurately and handled correctly. Comply with all occupational health, food safety, and sanitation standards, including maintaining proper food storage and holding temperatures through the correct use of thermometers, and all other food safety & sanitation tools, procedures and controls provided by culinary leadership. Complete all assigned closing duties and requirements as directed by the Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and/or Sous Chef. Delegate appropriate tasks to other job classifications as instructed by culinary leadership.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume sushi restaurant required. Strong understanding of sushi preparation techniques, food safety, and quality standards Flexible availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
