This position maintains high standards for food quality, safety, cleanliness, order accuracy, and customer service while supporting the daily setup and operation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines. Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and food preparation equipment safely and efficiently. Complete orders quickly and accurately during busy service periods. Check food temperatures, freshness, and holding times to maintain quality and safety. Follow food-handling, sanitation, allergy awareness, and local health department requirements. Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, equipment and storage areas. Receive, rotate, store, and restock food and supplies. Assist with loading, opening, closing, and event setup procedures. Communicate professionally with team members and provide friendly customer service. Report inventory shortages, equipment problems, and safety concerns to the supervisor. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant, food truck, catering operation, or commercial kitchen is preferred. Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, sanitation, and kitchen safety. Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and portion-control standards. Ability to work quickly, stay organized, and maintain accuracy under pressure. Reliable attendance, punctuality, teamwork, and professional conduct. Food handlers permit or food safety certification required where applicable, or ability to obtain one within the required timeframe.
