Must be committed to person-centered care by embracing and following the facilitys goal of person-centered care by demonstrating and being supportive of individual resident choice and controlled resident-preferred routines in all aspect of daily living. INDWH Qualifications High school graduate or GED or experience. Meet all health requirements imposed by law. Ability to read and write, speak and understand English. Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff. Ability to withstand sudden temperature changes from the heat of the kitchen or the cold of the freezer. Ability to taste and smell food to determine quality and palatability. Ability to safely transport hot pans from range or ovens to the steam table and be able to maneuver in the kitchen and walk-in freezer and cooler. Ability to identify chemicals, and properly use and dilute them. Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
