Job Description

Job Summary A part-time Thursday through Sunday Deli Prep/Cook position, where your passion for food and dedication to quality will shine! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious deli items, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of food safety and presentation. Your culinary expertise will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for customers and supporting the overall success of our food service operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your kitchen skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Duties Prepare a variety of deli items, including slicing meats, cheeses, and other ingredients with precision knife skills Assist in menu planning to ensure a diverse and appealing selection of food offerings Cook and assemble meals according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency and quality Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices Support food service operations by serving customers efficiently and courteously Contribute to food preparation for catering events or special functions as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and storage spaces Qualifications Willing to learn in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry standards Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety protocols Skilled in knife handling, food handling, and general kitchen techniques Knowledge of restaurant or catering environments is a plus Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

From $15.55 per hour
