The South Benton Resource is non profit organization based in Monroe, OR. The Cook plays a key role in preparing consistent, fresh menu items while supporting a positive, mission-driven atmosphere. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Service

• Prepare and cook café menu items according to recipes and standards
• Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
• Execute orders efficiently during service
• Assist with prep work including chopping and portioning Kitchen Operations
• Open and/or close the kitchen following daily checklists
• Maintain clean, organized workstations
• Stock, label, and properly store ingredients
• Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items Food Safety & Cleanliness
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
• Ensure proper food handling and storage
• Clean kitchen equipment and surfaces regularly Team and Café Environment
• Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
• Support a positive and inclusive workplace
• Contribute to a welcoming guest experience Qualifications
• Previous cooking or food prep experience 3-5 years
• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Current Food Handler's Card
• Reliable and team-oriented Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs Schedule
• Wednesday
• Saturday 6:30a-2:30p
