Part-time Reports to: Executive Director How to apply: https://www.sbrcenter.org/job-application/ Position Overview Kepi Nak Nak Café is a community-centered café within the South Benton Resource Center, serving simple, high-quality food in a welcoming environment. The South Benton Resource is non profit organization based in Monroe, OR. The Cook plays a key role in preparing consistent, fresh menu items while supporting a positive, mission-driven atmosphere. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Service- Prepare and cook café menu items according to recipes and standards
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
- Execute orders efficiently during service
- Assist with prep work including chopping and portioning Kitchen Operations
- Open and/or close the kitchen following daily checklists
- Maintain clean, organized workstations
- Stock, label, and properly store ingredients
- Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items Food Safety & Cleanliness
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure proper food handling and storage
- Clean kitchen equipment and surfaces regularly Team and Café Environment
- Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
- Support a positive and inclusive workplace
- Contribute to a welcoming guest experience Qualifications
- Previous cooking or food prep experience 3-5 years
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Current Food Handler's Card
- Reliable and team-oriented Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs Schedule
- Wednesday
- Saturday 6:30a-2:30p
- Availability for special cafe events as required, additional hours an option What Makes This Role Unique
