Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards. Assist in menu planning, including seasonal offerings and catering options. Handle food safely, ensuring proper storage and sanitation practices are followed. Conduct meal preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Utilize knives and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages. Experience Previous experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant is preferred. Knowledge of food handling techniques and safety regulations is essential. Experience with menu planning and catering services is a plus. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods are required. A background in the food industry with an understanding of dietary needs is advantageous.
