Edenbrook Second Ave is currently looking for a positive and reliable Cook who understands the importance of their role in delivering high-quality care through excellent meal preparation and service.
Position:
Cook (Part-Time) $17.00/HR and its a 10 day schedule ( every other weekend) Responsibilities Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment Prepare ingredients (e.g., chopping vegetables, cutting meat) Cook food using various techniques (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.) Monitor food while cooking and make adjustments as needed Plate dishes with attention to presentation Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen environment Properly store food and ingredients Monitor food quality and freshness Track inventory and alert supervisor when supplies run low Skills Proven experience working in a kitchen Familiarity with cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware Knowledge of a variety of cooking methods Ability to follow all sanitation and safety procedures Strong teamwork and communication skills Good physical stamina and attention to detail High school diploma or equivalent Culinary school training is a plus If you're someone who takes pride in preparing nutritious meals and wants to make a meaningful impact in a senior care setting, we'd love to hear from you!
