Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team at The Lancaster Cigar Bar AND Lancaster Sports Bar, which share a kitchen. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and possess a strong understanding of meal preparation and food safety standards. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our guests' expectations while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in menu planning, ensuring a diverse selection of dishes that cater to various dietary needs. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as needed. Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high standards of presentation and taste. Skills Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices within the food industry. Proficiency in using kitchen equipment, including knives, ovens, grills, and fryers. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. A passion for cooking and a desire to continually improve culinary skills within the kitchen setting.
