Job Description

We are seeking collaborative and enthusiastic Line Cooks to join our kitchen. The Maple Glen location operates five days a week (Wednesday-Sunday), combining classic American pub fare for dinner with wood-fired pizzas.
LINE COOK JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Line Cook at Wissahickon Brewing Company, you will report directly to the Executive Chef. You will be responsible for the proper execution of recipes, preparation of food, stocking and working stations, and cooking of food on the line. You will be responsible for a proper set up and/or breakdown of your station.
Schedule:
Wednesday -
Sunday:
3pm-close; Up to 40 hours per week. Schedule will vary.
Compensation:
$19-21 per hour based on experience.
Essential Duties:
As a Line Cook at Wissahickon Brewing Company, you will be responsible for: Actively participating in, and being accountable for maintaining an equitable, welcoming and safe work environment. Ensuring the highest standards and consistent quality in daily preparations and food handling. Keeping up to date with all new recipes and preparation techniques. Ensuring freshness of food ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock. Responsible for the end of night prep list and overall cleanliness of the station. Ensuring safe operation, proper care, and maintenance of all kitchen equipment. Maintaining an open line of communication with the entire management team to address any issues/concerns as they arise. Support other positions in the kitchen as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a high volume, fast-paced kitchen. Pizza experience is a plus. Passion for craft beer is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment. Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven and slick surfaces. Ability to work in hot and cold environments with moderate to high noise levels.
