Job Description

Hot Line Cook / Sandwich Cook — The Ground Coffee, Plants & Gifts Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia Part-Time or Full-Time | $16-$18/hour + pooled tips The Ground is a busy café in Rittenhouse Square with a growing scratch-made food program. We're looking for an experienced line/grill cook who's comfortable with high-volume service and knows how to keep a station running without needing constant direction. You'll be a great fit if you: Have solid line, grill or fast-paced café kitchen experience Are comfortable with cook-to-order service and a busy rush See what needs to be done and take initiative Follow recipes, portions and plating standards accurately and consistently Stay ahead on prep, stocking and cleaning Are dependable, on time and communicate clearly Are willing to jump into prep, dishes, receiving or whatever else the kitchen needs
What You'll Do:
Execute breakfast sandwiches, hot sandwiches, bowls and other made-to-order items Complete daily prep including chopping, roasting, portioning, sauces and spreads Keep your station clean, stocked and ready for service Follow recipes and portion standards consistently Help with inventory, receiving, rotation, dishes and general kitchen upkeep Communicate prep and supply needs before you run out We also love new ideas. Once you've learned our menu and systems , there's plenty of opportunity to contribute specials and help us continue developing the food program.
