Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection to enhance customer satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering strictly to food safety and handling protocols. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, stoves, and food prep tools. Support food service operations by plating dishes promptly and accurately for timely delivery to guests or servers. Follow all food safety regulations, including proper storage, sanitation practices, and temperature controls. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods. Requirements Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, with a strong foundation in culinary techniques. Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in food preparation and meal assembly. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, highlighting familiarity with special dietary needs. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in catering or large-scale food service is advantageous but not required.
