Job Description
Job Summary Our friendly Veterans Social Club is seeking a dependable Part-Time Cook to join our kitchen team. We are looking for someone who enjoys preparing quality food, takes pride in maintaining a clean kitchen, and works well in a team environment. Whether you have experience as a Cook, Line Cook, Grill Cook, Prep Cook, Restaurant Cook, or Kitchen Team Member , we'd love to meet you. We are willing to train the right candidate with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and quality standards. Perform food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and stocking ingredients. Cook food using grills, fryers, ovens, and other commercial kitchen equipment. Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling procedures. Keep kitchen workstations, equipment, and utensils clean and organized. Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing food inventory. Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely food service. Maintain compliance with all local health department regulations. Qualifications Previous experience as a Cook, Line Cook, Prep Cook, Grill Cook, Restaurant Cook, Kitchen Cook, Food Service Worker, or Caterer is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Reliable attendance and punctuality.
