Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing to ensure freshness and variety Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and fryers Maintain cleanliness by properly cleaning workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools throughout the shift Follow food safety protocols and handle food in accordance with health regulations Support meal preparation for catering events or large orders as needed Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth kitchen operations Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service environments Strong knife skills with precise slicing techniques Knowledge of safety standards in food production and handling procedures Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to menu specifications Experience operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen team members Understanding of food safety management practices and sanitation standards Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred, including catering experience if applicable Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a real impact!
