Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and safety guidelines Operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers efficiently and safely Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety standards in production and handling Assist with meal preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure visual appeal and quality consistency Follow food handling procedures meticulously to prevent contamination and ensure food safety management Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate orders, manage timing, and uphold smooth kitchen operations Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable Demonstrated culinary experience with knife skills, slicing techniques, and food preparation methods Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Knowledge of safety standards in food production, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Experience working in a fast-paced setting that requires multitasking and attention to detail Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members Exposure to dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
