Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Line Cook for Lunches to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and be committed to providing exceptional meals to our customers. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and serving food according to our high standards, ensuring that every dish is presented with flair and precision. Executive Chef/ Sous Chef Essential Responsibilities:
  • Executes AM Employee Meals by 11:00AM and ensures that the food is edible and not just reheating what is leftover in the fridge. As well as planning PM Employee Food for the Line Cooks
  • Responsible for putting away all the deliveries in a timely manner and adheres by FIFO guidelines
  • Responsible for ALL Dressings on the menu as well as all the Chicken Salad, Tuna Salad, & Egg Salad
  • Organizing and cleaning the Dressing cooler to ensure everything is neatly organized and easy to find
  • Assists in helping the staff at The Turn Shack with set-up, restocking, & cooking when needed
  • Executes production misenplace per station requirements and be set up for service
  • Prepares items that are ordered in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
  • Responsible for all pool orders and able to execute them in a timely manner
  • Notifies Executive Chef of product needs and quality concerns
  • Ensures all production areas and equipment are clean and sanitary before & during the shift
  • Assists the Executive Chef & Sous Chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen
  • Maintains a 5-Star Professional Chef appearance and hygiene standard before arriving
  • Assists in Set-Up of stations.
  • Assist Sous Chef requisitioning ingredients needed for production
  • Assist Sous Chef in Banquet Prep or other parties we may have
  • Adheres to current state, local, and company health regulations (ServSafe is a plus)
  • Covers, dates, rotates, organizes, and neatly stores all misenplace throughout the kitchen
  • Maintains the highest sanitary standards during production times and addresses concerns
  • Communicates efficiently and works as a team with the other cooks and culinary managers
  • Makes recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep of the line prep area and equipment
  • Attends company staff meetings when needed
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by the Culinary Managers and Supervisors
  • Assists Sous Chef in monitoring hot and cold food holding temperatures
  • Before leaving, make sure all coolers are swept, mopped (if needed) and neatly organized
  • Spice shelf needs to be flush and neatly organized before leaving
  • Hand washing sink and the two-compartment sink needs to be cleaned daily before leaving
Working Conditions/Environment:
  • Position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds is necessary and lifting up to 50 pounds is required occasionally. Typical work schedule is 9am-4pm Tuesday
  • Saturday.
Qualifications:
  • Food preparation and cooking skills
  • Experience in food service and handling
  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience
  • Knowledge of food industry standards
  • Culinary experience with a focus on meal preparation
  • ServSafe certification and proficiency in cooking techniques
