Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Cook food items with precision, ensuring proper temperature, presentation, and flavor Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and knives Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients for upcoming service periods Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination Support the team during catering events or special meal preparations as needed Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and service flow Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within restaurants or food industry settings Strong knife skills with slicing techniques that ensure efficiency and safety Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus Familiarity with food safety management and safety standards in production environments Ability to adhere strictly to recipes and portion control guidelines for consistent quality Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen team members Experience operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and fryers Understanding of meal preparation processes including catering experience is advantageous Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food handling practices Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
