This position will focus primarily on preparing and cooking our wood-fired pizzas while helping maintain the quality, consistency, and attention to detail our guests expect. We're looking for someone who works well in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in the food they put out, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. Previous pizza or restaurant kitchen experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person who is motivated and ready to learn. Responsibilities Prepare and cook wood-fired pizzas according to Nunzio's recipes and standards Stretch and shape pizza dough and properly portion toppings Operate and maintain the pizza oven safely and efficiently Monitor cook times and temperatures to ensure consistent quality Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep for the pizza station Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards Keep the pizza station clean, stocked, and organized throughout service Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures Communicate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to keep service running smoothly Monitor ingredient levels and communicate prep or stocking needs Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portioning, and storage Assist other kitchen stations and team members as needed Maintain a sense of urgency during busy services without sacrificing quality What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in producing great food. Pizza-making, wood-fired oven, or line cook experience is a plus, but attitude, dependability, and willingness to learn are just as important. Candidates should be able to work well as part of a team, follow recipes and kitchen procedures, maintain a clean workspace, and stay focused during high-volume service. Evening and weekend availability is required based on restaurant needs. Why Nunzio's?
