Full-Time Cook Hometown Hangout - McKenzie, TN Hometown Hangout is looking for a dependable, hardworking Full-Time Cook to join our team! No previous kitchen experience is required. We are willing to teach you everything you need to know. What matters most to us is having a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, being dependable, and being willing to learn. This is a full-time position with a varying schedule. The right person for this position should be flexible and willing to help wherever needed in the kitchen. What You'll Do Prepare and cook menu items according to Hometown Hangout standards Work the cook line during restaurant hours Complete food prep throughout the week Prepare and cook food for catering events Receive and put away food truck deliveries Stock and organize coolers, freezers, dry storage, and kitchen areas Maintain proper food rotation and organization Complete cleaning and sanitation duties Assist with kitchen opening and closing responsibilities Keep workstations clean, stocked, and ready for service Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Work with the rest of the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly Schedule This is a full-time position with a varying schedule based on restaurant operations, prep needs, catering events, and other business needs.

Our typical week includes:

Mondays:

Approximately 8:00 AM-5:00 PM for food deliveries, stocking, cleaning, organization, and prep

Thursday-Saturday:

Hometown Hangout is open from 4:30 PM-9:00 PM, so evening availability is required Additional weekday hours will be used for food prep and preparing and cooking food for catering events Hours may vary from week to week depending on catering events and business needs, so flexibility is important for this position . Who We're Looking For Experience is not required . If you have kitchen or restaurant experience, that's great, but we're willing to train the right person.
