Job Description

Job Summary Join the culinary team at Memphis Country Club , a historic private club built on exceptional service, quality food, and memorable member experiences. We are seeking an experienced Lead Line Cook to join our growing PM culinary team and contribute to a well-established operation with opportunities for continued growth and advancement. Our kitchen is led by a talented and highly trained culinary team, including an Executive Chef and three Sous Chefs, supported by a strong group of experienced cooks who take pride in producing consistent, high-quality cuisine. With $3M+ in annual food & beverage sales , three dining outlets, a strong banquet program, and additional kitchens supporting our racquets and pool facilities, this is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic culinary operation with room to grow. Our members return day after day because of the quality and consistency of our food program — and we are looking for a professional who wants to be part of that continued success.
The ideal candidate will have:
5+ years of professional kitchen experience Strong knowledge of line execution and service standards Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods Experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment Ability to communicate clearly and effectively during service Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed in a fast-paced setting Leadership skills and the desire to help develop a strong kitchen team A team-first mindset with pride in quality, consistency, and organization The Lead Line Cook will work closely with our current culinary team of five line cooks (three hot line, two cold line), and an expediter, during service, while maintaining the standards our members expect. This is more than a line cook position — it is an opportunity to learn from experienced culinary professionals, expand your skills, and grow within a respected private club environment. Responsibilities Daily food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served Lead and motivate line cooks and kitchen staff to achieve optimal performance during the PM shift Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation protocols Monitor food presentation and portion control to meet established quality standards
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
