Job Summary As a Line Cook at Dos Santos, you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations, preparing and cooking dishes that create an amazing guest experience. You will work closely with our culinary team to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a passion for cooking, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Food Preparation:
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and cooking components for various dishes, ensuring freshness and quality.
Line Cooking:
Execute menu items accurately and efficiently during service, following recipes and presentation standards to maintain consistency and quality.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate food preparation and delivery.
Quality Control:
Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring that all dishes meet the restaurant's high standards. Conduct regular taste tests and make adjustments as necessary.
Cleanliness and Safety:
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Follow proper food handling and sanitation practices at all times.
Inventory Management:
Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels and communicating needs to the kitchen manager. Help with receiving and storing deliveries as needed. Qualifications Previous experience as a prep cook, line cook, or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
