Kitchen Team Member (Wok Cooks)- Full-Time Gao's BBQ and Crab Allen, TX Job Details Full-time $14 - $18 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Paid training Qualifications Training program Kitchen health and safety standards Recipe adherence Pre-cooking preparation Ability to follow instructions Chinese cuisine Full Job Description Gao's BBQ & Crab in Allen is hiring full-time Wok Cooks for our back-of-house team. Pay and Training Paid seven-day training program totaling approximately 29 hours Training rate: $14.00 per hour After successfully completing the training program and passing the final evaluation, the regular Wok Cook rate will be $18.00 per hour Continued placement in the Wok Cook position depends on successful completion of the required training and assessments Position Overview The Wok Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items using commercial wok equipment while following company recipes, portion standards, food-safety requirements, and service expectations. The training program begins with basic wok handling and wok-tossing practice. A wok-skills assessment will be conducted on the third training day. Candidates who pass will continue with ingredient and sauce recognition, menu training, supervised cooking, preparation work, shift handoff, closing procedures, and final evaluation. Schedule This is a full-time position averaging approximately 35-39 hours per week.
