Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with menu planning by suggesting new dishes and improving existing recipes based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols. Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives, ovens, grills, and other cooking tools. Support the team during busy service hours by managing multiple orders with speed and accuracy. Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times to promote safety and hygiene in the kitchen. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within the food industry. Strong knife skills with the ability to handle various cutting techniques safely. Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating knowledge of special dietary needs. Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations. Fine dining experience or catering background that emphasizes attention to detail and presentation. Excellent food handling skills combined with a solid understanding of food safety standards.
