Part-time, Full-time Part-time, Full-time Overview Position Summary:
The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality, thoughtfully crafted dishes that bring our menu to life and create memorable dining experiences for our guests. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative kitchen, this role supports breakfast, lunch, dinner, and event service while upholding the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. This part-time position is ideal for a passionate, dependable cook who takes pride in their craft and thrives in a welcoming ranch setting.
Work Environment:
This role is based onsite at a ranch resort and involves work in a commercial kitchen environment. The position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods, and working around heat, noise, sharp tools, and cleaning chemicals. As a part-time position, scheduling will vary based on business needs and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, all while maintaining a professional, team-oriented presence in a tranquil ranch setting.

Specific Skills Qualifications:
1+ years of cooking, line cook, or prep cook experience preferred Solid knife skills and familiarity with standard cooking techniques Ability to read, follow, and execute recipes accurately Strong work ethic with a reliable, punctual, and team-oriented approach Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work around heat, sharp tools, and cleaning chemicals Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Attributes:
Culinary training or formal education Experience at a ranch resort, hotel, or restaurant Food Handler certification (or willingness to obtain) Positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed Detail-oriented, with pride in food quality and presentation Dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated Passion for hospitality, cooking, and creating memorable guest experiences
Responsible For Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking Prepare and cook menu items accurately and consistently, following recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards Work assigned stations (such as grill, sauté, prep, or pantry) efficiently during service Perform mise en place and prep work for upcoming shifts and events Plate dishes with care and attention to detail, ensuring quality before it leaves the kitchen Adapt to menu changes, daily specials, and dietary requests as directed Kitchen Operations Set up and break down stations at the beginning and end of each shift Monitor food levels and prepare items to keep pace with service Label, date, and store food properly to ensure freshness and rotation Support inventory, receiving, and restocking as needed Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any issues promptly Cleanliness & Food Safety Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards and regulations Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout each shift Sanitize equipment, surfaces, and tools according to standards Handle and dispose of waste, grease, and cleaning chemicals according to guidelines Report any equipment issues, spills, or safety hazards to a manager promptly Team Collaboration Work closely with the chef, fellow cooks, dishwashers, bussers, and servers to ensure smooth service Communicate clearly and pitch in wherever needed during busy periods Maintain a calm and collected composure during high-volume service and unexpected situations Support special events, seasonal programming, and guest activities as needed Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented team environment Job Nature Full Time Share On
