Duties Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines, menus, and residents' specific nutritional needs Plan menus that balance nutrition, variety, and presentation, incorporating fine dining techniques when appropriate Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients with precision and care Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards Serve meals efficiently while ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed Assist with catering special events or resident celebrations as needed Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items to minimize waste Qualifications Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within a healthcare or nursing home setting Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and menu planning with an emphasis on nutritious meal service Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques Skilled in culinary practices including knife skills, meal preparation, and food presentation Experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is a plus, demonstrating attention to detail and quality standards Ability to work efficiently during evening shifts while maintaining a positive attitude Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and caregiving teams Join us to make a meaningful difference through your culinary talents!
