Job Summary:
The Adult Daycare Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, safe, and appealing meals and snacks for adult daycare participants while following dietary requirements, food safety regulations, and established meal plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to the facilitys menu. Follow special dietary needs, including low-sodium, diabetic-friendly, soft, or modified-texture diets. Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures. Monitor food temperatures and ensure food is stored properly. Keep the kitchen, cooking equipment, dishes, and food preparation areas clean and sanitary. Maintain adequate food supplies and notify management when items need to be ordered. Prepare meals in appropriate portions and serve food in a timely manner. Accommodate participant food allergies and dietary restrictions. Minimize food waste while maintaining food quality. Follow local health department and facility policies. Assist with menu planning and maintain required kitchen and meal records.
