This position is responsible for preparing, cooking, frying, saucing, and plating menu items according to company standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and food items according to established recipes and preparation procedures. Operate fryers to cook chicken and other menu items to company quality and food safety standards. Sauce and finish products accurately to ensure consistency and presentation. Assist with stovetop cooking, side dish preparation, and specialty menu items. Complete daily food prep including cutting, marinating, portioning, and stocking ingredients. Maintain proper food temperatures and adhere to all food safety and sanitation requirements. Ensure kitchen stations remain clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift. Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service during peak business hours. Fill in where needed, including prep, cooking, plating, dishwashing, cleaning, and supporting front-of-house operations when necessary. Follow opening, closing, and cleaning procedures to maintain restaurant standards. Communicate effectively with managers and team members regarding inventory needs, equipment concerns, and operational issues. Qualifications & Skills Previous cooking, kitchen, food preparation, or restaurant experience preferred. Experience operating fryers, grills, stovetops, or commercial kitchen equipment is a plus. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
