Assist with daily kitchen preparation including chopping, portioning, seasoning, and organizing ingredients. Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation. Prepare food for restaurant, banquet, catering, and hotel events as assigned. Ensure all food is prepared and served according to quality standards. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures. Monitor food temperatures and maintain proper storage practices. Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food products using FIFO procedures. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, tools, and work areas. Support the culinary team during busy service periods. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, or high-volume kitchen preferred. Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules. Preferred Qualifications Culinary education or previous kitchen training preferred. Food Handler Certification preferred or ability to obtain certification. Experience with banquet, restaurant, or hotel operations is a plus.
