This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working with a team, and continuously improving their speed and efficiency. Strong line cooks learn the menu thoroughly, memorize recipes, and develop the ability to prepare dishes accurately and quickly during high-volume service. Our kitchen operates on teamwork, communication, and consistency. Every team member is expected to stay organized, follow recipes carefully, and maintain high food quality standards throughout the shift. During training, cooks are expected to actively study and memorize recipes so that dishes can be prepared confidently and efficiently during service. Kitchen Expectations Our kitchen values consistency, speed, and teamwork. Line cooks are expected to learn recipes thoroughly, stay organized at their station, and execute dishes efficiently during busy service. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where cooks stay engaged throughout the shift and continuously work to improve their speed and accuracy. If you enjoy learning systems, mastering recipes, and getting faster through repetition, you will do well here. If you prefer a slower prep-focused environment or a kitchen where pace and standards are relaxed, this role may not be the right fit. What the Role Looks Like Line cooks are responsible for preparing menu items according to established recipes and plating standards. During training, cooks focus on learning the ingredients, portioning, and preparation steps for each dish until they can execute them confidently without constant reference. As experience grows, cooks are expected to increase their pace while maintaining accuracy and consistency. The goal is to build speed through repetition while still producing dishes that meet quality standards. Throughout service, line cooks coordinate with other stations to ensure orders are completed efficiently and delivered to guests in a timely manner. Responsibilities During a Shift Prepare ingredients and menu items according to established recipes and procedures Memorize recipes, cooking steps, and plating standards Maintain speed and efficiency during high-volume service Work closely with other kitchen team members to complete orders quickly and accurately Keep the cooking station clean, organized, and properly stocked Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times Handle kitchen equipment safely and according to operating procedures Assist with prep work and station setup before service and cleaning duties after service What Helps Someone Succeed in This Role Ability to learn and memorize recipes quickly Strong focus on speed, efficiency, and consistency Ability to stay organized and focused during busy shifts Good communication and teamwork with other kitchen staff Willingness to learn and improve through repetition and feedback Attention to detail when preparing and plating dishes Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is helpful but not necessarily required. We are willing to train motivated individuals who want to develop strong cooking skills and grow within a professional kitchen environment.
Pay:
$10.00 - $13.00 per hour
