In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with precision and efficiency, ensuring every meal meets our standards of excellence. Your enthusiasm for food preparation, safety, and teamwork will help create a welcoming environment where great food and exceptional service thrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while contributing to a vibrant dining experience. Duties Meet with Sous Chef/Station Cook I to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance. Set up work station with required mis en place, tools, equipment and supplies. Breakdown work stations and complete closing duties at the end of last shift of the day. Produce salads, fruit/vegetable/cheese/meat trays, centerpieces for Banquets and Buffets. Display items attractively and to specified requirements. Prepare amenity orders for Room Service. Ice down seafood three times a day according to procedures. Inspect the cleanliness and working conditions of all tools, equipment and supplies. Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department and hotel requirements. Assist with inventories as scheduled. Work in a cooperative and friendly manner with fellow associates. Practice a culture of guest service in all you do; promote courtesy, good will and a positive attitude in each and every encounter. Perform any reasonable request as assigned or directed by management.

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, slicers, and food processors safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict sanitation standards Assist in meal preparation for various service periods, including breakfast, lunch, or dinner shifts Follow food safety protocols for handling, storing, and disposing of ingredients to prevent contamination Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food production and service flow Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients for upcoming dishes or special events Qualifications 2 years' experience as a Pantry Person at a Hotel/Resort or Restaurant. Ability to work all stations on the line. Food handling certification required. Compute basic arithmetic Comprehend and follow recipes, including the ability to expand/condense recipes Regular attendance according to established guidelines May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times Prior experience in food industry roles such as restaurant kitchen, dietary department, or catering environment preferred Strong knowledge of food safety management and proper food handling techniques Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in meal quality Experience with dietary aide tasks or dietary department procedures is a plus Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and kitchen staff Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment Join us if you're passionate about culinary arts, eager to learn new skills, and ready to contribute your energy to a dedicated team!
