Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of meals in accordance with our established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and sanitized in compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare staff to create meal plans tailored to patients' dietary needs. Monitor food quality and presentation before serving and during meal times, ensuring the highest standards are met. Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing food and supplies efficiently. Provide support in the training and onboarding of new kitchen staff in food preparation and safety procedures. Participate in menu planning and special event catering, contributing creative ideas and feedback on dishes. High School Diploma or equivalent. Culinary Degree a plus Must be Food Protection Management Certified. Must have 3 plus years institutional food service experience, including knowledge of food production, therapeutic diets, and sanitation. Must be able to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, depending upon the needs of Coryell Health and its long-term facility as directed. Must be able to read, write, and communicate orally in English.
