Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking tasks such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, knives, and food prep tools Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment Support menu planning efforts by preparing diverse dishes that meet dietary requirements and presentation standards Assist with food production for high-volume service periods while adhering to recipe adherence and portion control guidelines Handle food with care during preparation and service to uphold quality and hygiene standards Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of meals Qualifications Previous experience in food handling, food preparation, or a culinary setting is preferred; dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food safety sanitizing procedures Experience with high-volume production environments or catering is advantageous Knowledge of food safety management practices and ability to follow strict hygiene protocols Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under pressure Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations Prior restaurant or food industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is essential Join us in creating exceptional meals while honing your culinary expertise!
