Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to established recipes and standards Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygienic practices and prevent cross-contamination Support the culinary team during service by ensuring timely food prep and smooth kitchen operations Assist with catering orders and special event setups as needed Ensure proper food handling procedures are adhered to at all times, including storage and disposal Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Hands-on experience with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques Familiarity with food service operations within restaurants or catering environments Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the food industry Experience in kitchen environments that require attention to detail and multitasking skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their culinary expertise while contributing to a vibrant team.
