Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment. Responsibilities
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions with customers
- Scan goods and collect payments
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
- Keep track of all cash and credit transactions
- Ensure pricing is accurate
- Assist customers with locating products
- Promote sales and special offers Qualifications
- Experience with cash handling and operating a cash register preferred
- Basic math skills for calculating totals and providing correct change
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Knowledge of retail math concepts such as calculating discounts and sales tax
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
