Assistant Cook Job Overview:
The Assistant Cook supports daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. This role requires the ability to follow recipes accurately, work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen, and multitask effectively. Familiarity with a variety of ingredients, tools, and cooking methods is essential.Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up and maintain workstations with necessary ingredients, tools, and cooking equipment. Prepare ingredients for meal preparation, including chopping, peeling, and cutting. Cook food using a range of utensils, grills, and other kitchen equipment. Monitor dishes while cooking and adjust as needed by stirring, flipping, or seasoning. Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen environment. Ensure all food items and supplies are stored safely and properly. Inspect ingredients for quality and freshness. Track inventory levels and report or place orders when stock is low. Learn and follow all recipe procedures accurately. Adhere to company safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards. Help maintain a steady workflow of food orders from the kitchen.Requirements:
No minimum education required. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and a strong work ethic.Pay:
