Duties Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and standards Support the line cook team during meal service by ensuring timely and efficient food delivery Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and health regulations Prepare ingredients for menu items, including portioning and measuring ingredients accurately Follow established recipes and menu plans to ensure consistency in taste and presentation Contribute to catering events by preparing large quantities of food and assisting with setup and serving as needed Skills Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking methods Familiarity with restaurant or food industry environments, including kitchen experience and food service operations Excellent knife skills for efficient ingredient preparation Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of catering procedures and serving practices to support various dining occasions This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build their culinary expertise while contributing to a positive dining experience.
