Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Proven background in food industry roles such as restaurant or kitchen experience, including meal preparation and cooking skills Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques Skilled in culinary techniques such as knife skills, food presentation, and meal assembly Experience with menu planning and catering operations is a plus Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Prepare and assemble meals with precision, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation Assist in menu planning by contributing creative ideas that align with dietary guidelines and customer preferences Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen Support food preparation activities including chopping, cooking, plating, and portioning Maintain a clean, organized kitchen workspace to promote safety and efficiency Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences in both casual and fine dining settings Assist with catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining consistency and presentation standards
