This is a hands-on working leadership position . Our Head Cook will work alongside the kitchen team every day; cooking, prepping, training team members, maintaining food quality and cleanliness standards, and setting the pace during busy service. What You'll Do Work hands-on in all kitchen stations and lead by example Prepare and cook food according to Nick the Greek recipes and standards Help train, coach, and develop kitchen team members Maintain speed, accuracy, portioning, and food quality during service Keep the kitchen clean, organized, stocked, and ready for each shift Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed Direct kitchen flow and help position team members during busy periods Communicate effectively with Front of House leadership Help identify and correct performance or execution issues Complete opening and closing kitchen responsibilities Jump wherever needed to keep service moving What We're Looking For Previous restaurant kitchen experience required Previous experience as a Head Cook, Lead Cook, Kitchen Lead, Shift Lead, or similar position strongly preferred Strong cooking and food preparation skills Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality and consistency Comfortable coaching and directing other kitchen employees Reliable, hardworking, and able to lead by example Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation Ability to remain calm and productive during high-volume service Open and flexible availability Schedule & Overtime This is a full-time hourly position with regular overtime expected and required. The Head Cook should anticipate working approximately six days per week , depending on business needs. Additional hours and flexibility will be particularly important during training, grand opening, and the first several months of operation. Store hours are still being finalized but are expected to be approximately 10:30 AM-10:00 PM, seven days a week. Availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
