Kitchen Manager Job Summary This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. The Line Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation for daily service Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including food handling and storage Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools Support catering events and special meal preparations as needed Serve dishes promptly while ensuring quality and consistency Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or food industry setting Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Experience with menu planning, food service, and catering is a plus Dietary department or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required Fine dining experience or background in the food industry preferred Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Working Conditions Fast-paced kitchen environments Exposure to heat, water, and cleaning chemicals Standing for extended periods Typical Schedule Part-time or full-time shifts Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
