We want to hire a part-time cook that has a passion for cooking and enjoys interaction with senior citizens. The cook is able to keep our kitchen department flowing for both residents and staff in the preparation and serving of meals. Starting wage is $15 per hour. You will be required to work some weekends. •90 day evaluation with raise based on performance, then evaluations yearly on hire date.

Position Responsibilities:

Cook prepares home-style meals that are served within a restaurant style setting. Meal preparation is completed according to menus and recipes with consideration for dietary and/or portion restrictions. Assist in keeping kitchen area clean and meeting all state health regulations. Interact with residents and other departments to maintain meal satisfaction. Preform other duties or tasks as assigned or required.

Position Qualifications:

Must be 18 yrs. old. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., Must have current Food Handler Permit. Must be able to pass background screen and drug testing. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must attend in-service and continuing education programs. Some cooking experience with large groups is preferred but will train the right person. Cooking Tuesday-Thursday 3:30p-8:00p.
