The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and quality standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, works well under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced restaurant setting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines. Set up and stock assigned workstations with necessary ingredients and supplies. Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner during service periods. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, equipment, and storage areas. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Properly store, label, and rotate food products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures. Monitor food quality and report any shortages, spoilage, or equipment issues to management. Assist with receiving, storing, and inventorying food deliveries. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure excellent guest experiences. Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous cooking or restaurant experience preferred. Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Food Handler Permit or ability to obtain one, if required by local regulations. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
