Position Summary Moena Café is seeking a passionate and experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you'll prepare and plate high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment while upholding our standards for taste, presentation, and food safety. You'll contribute to prep, execution, and daily operations while working closely with a supportive kitchen team. Key Responsibilities Culinary Execution Prepare and cook menu items according to café recipes and plating standards Consistently maintain taste, portion size, and visual presentation Assist in developing seasonal specials and testing new menu items Safely and efficiently operate kitchen tools and equipment, including knives, slicers, grills, and fryers Kitchen Operations Follow daily prep lists and keep workstation clean, stocked, and organized Monitor and restock inventory, and assist with ordering as needed Label, date, and rotate all food products using FIFO methods Maintain kitchen equipment and report issues promptly Participate in opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and sanitation Health & Safety Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free kitchen environment Ensure proper food storage, temperature checks, and cleanliness of prep and service areas Participate in training for new cooks on safety and culinary procedures Teamwork & Culture Work collaboratively with BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth service Support and communicate effectively with fellow kitchen staff Be receptive to coaching and contribute positively to kitchen morale Help maintain a respectful, inclusive, and professional kitchen culture Qualifications 1+ year experience as a line cook or similar kitchen role (preferred) Excellent knife skills and working knowledge of various cooking techniques Familiarity with health and safety regulations and kitchen best practices Ability to multitask and work calmly in a fast-paced, high-volume setting Strong attention to detail, consistency, and food presentation Clear and respectful communication skills Passion for cooking and creating a positive guest experience Physical Requirements Stand, walk, and move for extended periods Lift and carry up to 25 lbs Work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment Work Schedule Shifts available between 7:00AM - 3:00PM and will be opening soon for dinner from 5:00PM - 9:00PM Must be available for some weekends and holidays Flexible schedule based on business needs Are you passionate about cooking and ready to bring island-inspired cuisine to life?
