This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for cooking and a desire to grow within the hospitality industry. Cook I will work under the guidance of senior culinary staff to support food preparation, kitchen organization, and event execution in a high-volume, luxury catering environment. Responsibilities Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and preparing garnishes. Set up and break down workstations and food prep areas according to kitchen standards. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of workstations throughout shifts. Support kitchen staff during service and off-premise event preparation as directed. Label, date, and store food properly to minimize waste and ensure freshness. Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to comply with all local and company standards. Willingly learn and adapt to a variety of kitchen roles as training progresses. Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen leadership. Requirements Enthusiasm for culinary arts and willingness to learn in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Some prior kitchen, food service, or hospitality experience (preferred, not required). Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and communicate effectively. Basic understanding of kitchen tools and hygiene practices. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. ServSafe or other food safety certification (preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire).
