On Call Cooks

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking experienced, dependable On-Call Cooks to join our team in the DMV area! This is a great opportunity for culinary professionals looking for flexible work- pick up shifts that fit your schedule while working in a variety of professional kitchen environments!

What You'll Do:

Prepare and cook high-quality meals following recipes and production guidelines Assist with food prep, station setup, and service execution Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas Follow food safety and HACCP procedures at all times Support catering events, special functions, and daily meal service as needed Work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced kitchen environments Adapt quickly to different kitchens, teams, and service styles Help with kitchen breakdown and end-of-shift cleaning We're looking for cooks who are passionate about food, take pride in their work, and can jump in confidently wherever needed.

Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing. Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members. Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques (HAACP). What you'll need: Experience with cooking in a commercial kitchen. Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English. Ability to interact with SAGE guests and Team Members in a professional and positive manner.
